She sings rock, it’s classic
Italian singer Anna Taj, who has made Auroville her home, took audiences on a trip back in time crooning an assortment of classic rock favorites.
Performing for the SecSatPondy event, supported by the Department of Tourism, Anna had put together a diverse set list that included immortal songs by the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Marley, Eagles and Roberta Flack, among others. Anna has been a lead vocalist with different music groups playing everything from pop to soft rock and jazz. She has also cut a critically acclaimed album called “Golden Heart” released internationally through iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby.
Later, A.R. Orchestra, featuring singers Latha and Venkatesh, served up a mix of old and new Tamil melodies at the show. Next up were the Bengaluru-based Uzwal Suspex performing their electro blues grooves.
